Amateur Dresser

When I was still in high school, I’ve always thought that wearing cocktail dresses is for special occasions only. Seldom you will find dresses in my wardrobe. If you ever find one, either I wear it for formal attire in school or I am sick. My environment was my great influencer. I am an only child but I lived with more guy friends and more guy mocking siblings. LOL. I lived a very active lifestyle (proud Batang 90’s) too. I even love cars more than dolls. Anyway, back to the point, I would choose guy stuffs over kikay bling-blings.

But as time goes, people age and season cycles, trying out something new is an art.

Now that I’m already a working girl in a new world and surrounded by new circle of friends, my bucketlist boomed and my mind freely opened into a new perspective. I accepted the change. One of it is my fashion sense. Wearing dresses and heels now for me let’s me feel the freedom and the gracefulness within me. It reminds me that I am now a lady, that I deserve respect, and that I am lovable in my own way. It gives me the guts to poise and reminds me the attitude of a grown woman.

Bytheway, my dress here is a gift from my bestfriend, who is also one of the people who keeps on encouraging me to wear heels. 🙂
